Southern African Structured Trade Seminar | 26 – 29 June 2018
The Southern Africa Structured Trade Seminar, promoted by USAID through the Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub together with INTL FC Stone, is to be held 26-29 June in Livingstone (Zambia).
This landmark event will bring together senior level participants from banks and financial institutions, corporate entities engaged in trade, manufacturing, agribusiness and mineral extraction, policymakers and regulators from across Africa and global markets.
Led by experts from top global, regional and local financial institutions, commodity exchanges, corporations and investors, the Seminar will introduce participants through an interactive skills development framework to essential topics in regional integration and cross-border trade linkages. It provides participants the opportunity to experience structured trade platforms on a simulated transactional basis and numerous opportunities for business-to-business trade facilitation.
The Seminar will include specific investment facilitation components capitalising on the presence of regional agribusiness, mining sector players, financial institutions, investors and policymakers.
Sessions would be focusing on investment opportunities in the Southern Africa agricultural sector, an interactive workshop on the investment process, and investment matchmaking between companies and investors.
Opportunities also exist for investors to enhance their brand profile at the event and help shape the agenda.
