Energy Fund Associate
A dynamic fund within the energy and infrastructure sector is looking for a self-motivated and driven individual with a minimum of 8 years prior work experience, with 4 – 5 years in private equity/infrastructure finance to fill a vacant Associate position. The ideal candidate is expected to support the deal sourcing, execution and monitoring of commercially-orientated private equity investments opportunities within the energy sector. The ideal candidate is expected to support the deal sourcing, execution and monitoring of commercially-orientated private equity investments opportunities within the energy sector. Conducts advanced financial analysis. Assist in coordination of due diligence and research and may serve on the Board of Investee organisation as Alternate Director in exceptional cases. Mainly a support function on all areas of transaction execution.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, and experience in developmental and project finance. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Skills and qualification Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree, with honours.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CFA advisable
• Minimum 8 years prior work experience, with 4-5 year in private equity/infrastructure finance, preferably having worked on energy projects.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required, including a demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently with good presentation skills in one-on-one settings or to larger groups (inside and outside of the fund)
Advanced skills in Excel and other financial modelling tools.
Excellent knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
Good working knowledge of key commercial statutes and regulation (Tax, Companies Act).
