The African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) and the Southern African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SAVCA) would like to invite you to an online demonstration of the IMP+ACT Classification System (ICS) on behalf of our strategic partner the IMP+ACT Alliance. The ICS is a digital platform which was developed in consultation with over 150 organisations and aims to provide new insights about social and environmental of investments and the impact behaviours of multi-asset class portfolios.

What to expect:

The IMP+ACT Classification System (ICS) is meant as a practical digital tool that allows asset managers to consistently self-report how they classify impacts while ‘translating’ existing measurement approaches and rating techniques into a consistent format. In doing so it provides asset owners with greater clarity about the impact behaviour of their multi-asset class portfolios as well as how investment practitioners are currently thinking of measuring and managing impacts.

Hear how practitioners (e.g. Sanlam Investments) used the ICS to classify ESG factors and impacts occurring in their funds, and which impact measurement and management approaches they applied. Learn how asset owners can benefit from consistent information about impact behaviours of investments, and understand how they meet their impact intentions.
