Newsletter 23 January 2014:

Dear SAVCA members and friends

In a few weeks’ time we will be hosting you at our annual industry showcase, Private Equity in Southern Africa 2014: Geared for Growth. The event website has all the details for the conference, which will be held at Spier, Stellenbosch on Tuesday 11 February. Qualifying institutional investors have complimentary access – and are also invited to the LP-Only Masterclass on Monday 10 February.

Don’t miss the cocktail function on the eve of the conference: From 5pm on Monday 10 February, you can mingle with other SAVCA members and conference attendees at Spier (the function is exclusive to SAVCA and EMPEA members, and to conference attendees). Pre-registration via info@savca.co.za is essential.

Looking further ahead, we’re running an ESG Masterclass in Cape Town on 7 March (details below and on the Calendar function on the SAVCA website). You can also make a note of the SAVCA-GIBS Three-Day Foundation Programme in Private Equity, which is set for 6-9 August this year.

We thank SAVCA members who are responding promptly to our requests for updated details for the SAVCA Members’ Yearbook; the new-look A5 booklet will be published by SAVCA in May this year.

Nicole Berger, who joined SAVCA as Portfolio Manager late last year, is managing this process.

Regards

Erika van der Merwe
