Going Virtual:
The health and safety of our members, sponsors, partners and stakeholders is of great importance to us, and we do not take lightly the risks associated with having an in-person event given the rapid rise in Covid cases the past few weeks. For this reason, we will be offering the SAVCA 2021 Private Equity Conference as a virtual occasion where delegates and sponsors can participate safely on a virtual platform.
All delegates who had previously registered for the in-person event will be contacted by our events team and can have their registration amended for the virtual offering. More information can be found on our registration page.
About SAVCA:
The Southern African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SAVCA) is a non-profit industry association representing 170 members in Southern Africa, who collectively manage in excess of R185bn in assets under management.
Background to the conference:
SAVCA has presented an annual private equity industry conference since 2008. The conference is a highlight of the industry calendar and a key deliverable by SAVCA to the private equity ecosystem in Southern Africa.
The purpose of the conference is to:
- Provide a platform for building and solidifying relationships with industry players such as investors, fund managers, regulators, advisors and the media.
- Create a compelling business case and showcase the value private equity can offer the Southern African region from an economic and social development perspective.
- Through engaging sessions and compelling content contribute to the capacity building of industry players.
The conference setting is collegial, informative and inclusive to ensure meaningful networking with other delegates. Combined with the extensive coverage of the event through SAVCA’s networks, and via media partnerships and social media, the conference content and messaging reach a broad yet targeted audience.
The target audience of the SAVCA conference includes:
- Representatives from private equity and venture capital fund managers active in South Africa, Southern Africa and other parts of Africa.
