Reabetswe has over 12 years of private equity experience, having led and executed numerous transactions across a range of sectors — including financial services, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), construction and infrastructure, logistics, and property — in South Africa and across the African continent. She has held senior positions in one of Africa’s largest asset managers – the Public Investment Corporation SOC Limited and the Transaction Capital Group, where she played a significant role in the development and execution of their private equity and corporate finance strategies. Other key responsibilities included representing the entities on various company board committees and private equity funds advisory boards.
Francois Malan
Francois Malan
Francois Malan is an Investment Manager at Savant and an Industrial Engineer with an MBA. He has an operations management and technical project management background from working within the manufacturing industry, as well as experience in the innovation and entrepreneurship environment. Having been with Savant for 14 years, Francois remains passionate about helping inventors and innovators turn their technology ideas into reality, while simultaneously building a sustainable business around them.
Savant is the only dedicated hardware technology incubator in South Africa. Savant brings over 20 years of rigorous hands-on commercialisation experience to early-stage hardware tech projects and ventures.
Savant’s aim is to promote South African companies that have developed physical products that appeal to both local and international markets. Through its work, Savant hopes to help science and engineering technology start-ups succeed in the local and global marketplace and take African developed tech to the world – solving the world’s problems – with African solutions.

Julian Mixon
Julian Mixon
Julian Mixon is a finance and investment professional with more than 19 years' experience in diverse sectors, including financial services, technology, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital. He is a chartered accountant and a chartered global management accountant. He is currently serving as an Associate Fund Principal at the Public Investment Corporation as part of its early-stage fund team. Before this, he worked at Naspers Foundry, a South Africa-focused venture capital fund. He started his career doing his articles at Microsoft South Africa as a trainee accountant. Mr Mixon holds a BCom in Accounting and an honours degree in Financial Management from the University of Johannesburg. He also has an honours degree in Accounting (CTA) from the University of South Africa.
Shrivar Mohan
Shrivar Mohan
Among other investment-related roles, Shrivar Mohan serves as the Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Edge Growth Ventures. Previously, they worked as a Junior Portfolio Manager at Aegon Asset Management. Shrivar also holds board positions at IG3N Energy Storage, Iyeza Health, and Reach Republic. They have mentored at the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation and have a background in Aerospace Engineering and Finance from the University of Southampton and the University of Amsterdam, respectively.
