Regardless of a challenging economic and political environment in South Africa last year, the outlook for 2019 remains positive, with strong indications of sustained confidence in the local private equity and venture capital industry.

This is according to Craig Dreyer, the Chairman of the Southern African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SAVCA), who was speaking at the first ever joint Private Equity and Venture Capital in Southern Africa Conference, held in Stellenbosch at the end of February.
