Charles is part of the leadership team of CrossBoundary’s energy investment advisory practice, based in Johannesburg.

Prior to CrossBoundary, Charles worked for Bloomberg New Energy Finance, the corporate finance team of an international logistics company focused on last-mile logistics in Africa, and Northern Trust’s Asia Pacific alternative investments practice based in Hong Kong.

He is co-founder of a clean-tech social venture and serves on the advisory council of New Politics, an organization focused on reinvigorating democracy by recruiting, developing, and electing service veterans to the United States Congress.

He is a former Marine Corps infantry officer and combat veteran. Charles holds a Masters of

International Affairs from Columbia University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
