Prior to this, Charles was a partner at Cambridge Economic Policy Associates (CEPA), an economics and finance advisory firm, where he specialised in infrastructure regulation and finance, covering energy, water and transport.

He also led CEPA’s Agriculture Sector, providing transaction advisory services and advising on PPP arrangements in Africa.

When with CDC from 1997-2005, Charles spent six years in Tanzania working across the substantial country portfolio, including direct investments in power generation, agribusiness and property and managing CDC’s first country investment funds.

Prior to joining CDC, Charles was a Senior Associate at PwC.
