Garth has been a principal of Capitalworks’ private equity funds since the company’s formation and has over 19 years’ experience in private equity investing and corporate finance.

He has served on the boards of both public and private companies operating in a wide range of industries and contributed in the full spectrum of governance sub-committees. He has also served on the executive committee of the South African Venture Capital Association and fulfilled the role of Chairman of SAVCA’s Black Economic Empowerment Sub-committee in 2005.

Garth is a qualified CA(SA) with a B.Com (hons) degree from the University of Witwatersrand.
